Baseball’s career home run leader Barry Bonds has been released by the San Francisco Giants after 15 seasons. Bonds revealed on his website Friday that the Giants told him that he is not part of their plans for 2008. The Giants are in last place in the National League West and are hoping to rebuild. Bonds’ agent, Jeff Boris said "We've heard for a long time that the Giants are an old team and want to get younger, so we're not surprised." The 43-year old Bonds says “there is more baseball in me,” stating his desire to continue his career.
