Fifty-three-year-old Donald Rankin from Goshen, New Hampshire was indicted on charges that allege he fraudulently collected workers’ compensation benefits. He faces three theft-by-deception counts with each representing a different theory of his alleged crime. Reports indicate he received disability benefits insurance payments from MEMI Indemnity Company of Manchester from October 2005 to January 2006 after claiming not to be able to work as a truck driver. He is alleged to have been working during that time period. His charges are class A felonies which carry a penalty of 7 ½ to 15 years in prison and a fine of $4,000.
