Colombia's chief federal prosecutor, Mario Iguaran, confirmed Wednesday that DNA tests were performed in Caracas, Venezuela on the mother and two brothers of Clara Rojas. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) promised to release Rojas, her son Emmanuel and politician Consuelo Gonzalez. Colombian President Uribe had suggested that Emmanuel was not in FARC hands but living in a foster home in Bogota. Iguaran said it would be at least 48 hours before the DNA results were compared with those from Juan David Gomez, an orphan in Bogota who matches a description of Emmanuel, down to his maimed left arm.
