Sony’s official website for the Consumer Electronics Show 2008, which starts on January 6 in Las Vegas, revealed that Skype voice chat integration is coming for the PSP. The Sony CES2008 website lists Skype functionality as one of the PSP’s features, saying users can “call friends, talk trash to fellow gamers or catch up with acquaintances via Skype for PSP system.” Skype, the popular Voice-Over-IP provider, would seem to be a welcome addition to PSPs as voice chat has long been rumored for the device. In Europe, a partnership with British Telecom and a Go!Messenger kit has been previously announced.
