Oklahoma University starting defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger has been sent home and will now not play in the Fiesta Bowl on Wednesday. The 21-year-old was arrested Saturday for attempting to steal a jacket from the Burlington Coat Factory at the Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe. He “removed an anti-theft device from a jacket and then concealed the jacket in a bag. He exited the store walking past the cash registers without paying…” Mike Horn, a Tempe Police Department spokesman, said. Granger admitted to committing the offense and was booked into the Tempe City Jail. He later bonded out of jail.
