On Sunday morning, Mindy McCready, 32 years old, was released from the Williamson County jail where she served her sentence given in September for violating probation from a 2004 drug arrest. According to authorities, the violation occurred in July when the country singer was accused of scuffling with her mother a resisting arrest at her mother’s home in Fort Myers, Florida. Her lawyer, Lee Offman, confirmed that she still must serve two years of probation but also assured that McCready has learned her lesson and will stay out of trouble. The singer had a No. 1 hit single in 1996.
