Michele Anderson and her boyfriend Joseph McEnroe, both 29 years old, were charged in Washington on Friday with six counts of aggravated first-degree murder after earlier confessing to killing the woman’s parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. Conviction on aggravated first-degree murder in Washington State is punishable only by death of life in prison without possibility of parole. King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg already expressed that he would give “serious consideration” to the death penalty. The couple’s motive for the killings has not yet been confirmed but authorities say long-stranding bitterness and a perceived family debt may have been factors.
