Around 8:30 PM on Sunday evening, 11-year-old Tyshaun Falconer answered the door at his family’s Springfield Garden home in Queen when he was shot at point-blank range by an unidentified gunman. According to the boy’s father, the gunman was a young man who initially asked for his 16-year-old son. When Tyshaun told him that his older brother was not home, the gunman fired a bullet that passed through the 11-year-old’s chest and out his arm. On Sunday night, Tyshaun was reportedly in stable condition at a New York hospital in New Hyde Park. Police say they still have no suspects.
