Governor Sarah Palin has appointed a new member to fill a seat on the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board. According to the governor’s office, Marc Stemp of Fairbanks will not be representing management in Northern Alaska. Reports indicate that Stemp currently works as the executive of planning, development, and administration of Doyon Ltd. He has also worked as president and CEO of Bethel Native Corp. and chief financial officer of Ahtna Inc. and Angoon’s Native village corporation. He has also served on the Workers’ Compensation Board from 1991 to 2006 and on the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Commission from 2005 to 2007.
