NY man steals GPS unit

Early on Saturday morning, police in Amityville, New York spotted a man who was trying to ride a bicycle while carrying several items. The man was stopped by authorities who discovered that a car Global Positioning Satellite unit was among the numerous items he was carrying. When questioned about the items, the man, 33 years old, tried to give evasive answers. However, an officer pressed the home button on the GPS which displayed a nearby address. They then went to the home and the resident there confirmed that the receiver was his. The man was arrested on suspicion of stealing.
