The release of three hostages by FARC rebels in Colombia has once again been delayed mainly due to FARC’s failure to name a location for the handover. Friday, two Venezuelan helicopters carrying medical personnel arrived in Villavicencio, Colombia. Since then, European and Latin American observers have also arrived in the city, among them the Argentinean President Nestor Kirchner. Film director Oliver Stone was expected to join them. The chief negotiator, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, initially hoped to have the hostages freed Thursday. He called for patience saying poor communications from FARC jungle territory and bad weather were delaying the mission.
