Taliban denies role in Bhutto assassination
The Islamic militant group blamed by Pakistan officials for the attack that killed Benazir Bhutto denied on Saturday any link to the killing. We don't strike women." Omar, the official spokesman for the Taliban in Pakistan, also said Bhutto was a victim of President Musharraf's security apparatus. "This was a well-planned conspiracy carried out by the intelligence agencies, army and government for their own political motives."
