Fifty-six-year-old Sam Haskins reports that he and his 27-year-old son, Jeremy Haskins, has recently discovered a climate-controlled vault in the basement of the Bellows Falls, Vermont building he bought in September. The vault that is still functional contains six fur coats, about a dozen suits, and some dresses and hats. It was apparently used by Royal Furriers, a business that closed in the late 70s. According to the hardware owner, he used an electric hammer and then a jackhammer before eventually boring through 18 inches of brick and mortar before finding the vault. Haskins plans to have the items appraised.
