On Tuesday, Tatiana, a Siberian tiger at the San Francisco zoo escaped from its pen killing one and injuring two others before being shot dead. Reports say it was the same tiger that mauled a zookeeper last year. The three male victims in their 20s were not employees. They were outside the zoo’s Terrace Café when they were attacked just after the 5PM closing time. The tiger was on top of a victim when police arrived. They opened fire when it started to approach them. Authorities are investigating how the tiger escaped and how long it was on the loose.
