A 28-year-old British woman leaned over the Purley Oaks station platform in Croydon, South London to vomit when she was struck in the head by a train that was traveling at a rate of 65 miles per hour. According to the driver, he hit the brakes as soon as he spotted the woman and blew the horn of the Watford to Gatwick express to no avail. Surprisingly, the woman survived by suffered a skull fracture and a facial wound. She was fully conscious when she was taken to a nearby hospital. The incident happened on Thursday at around 7:30 PM.
