The body of Gwen Williams was found floating in a lagoon by passers-by on Saturday, October 6. When recovered, her body was missing the left arm, right hand, and right foot. Autopsy results concluded that Gwen had died of blood loss caused by the alligator attack. A licensed alligator trapper caught and killed a two and a half meter long alligator on Tuesday, and examination of its stomach contents confirms that it was the animal that had attacked Williams. 83 year old Gwen Williams was house-sitting for her relatives at The Landings, a gated luxury retirement community on Skidaway Island.
